First of all, happy 2013 and may your wheels keep rolling throughout the coming year!
I’m not going to be updating this blog on a regular basis as my wife and I left Portugal in July 2012.
Hopefully, however, the information here will continue to be useful – I know this blog gets anything between 80-200 visits every week so there are definitely lots of people looking for information on cycling in Portugal.
I’m very happy to continue to offer advice to anyone with general or specific questions about cycling in Portugal – just post a comment and I will get back to you.
Alternatively if there are any other cycling bloggers out there who want to help with this blog – either as ‘editor’ or by contributing routes/information – do let me know!
All the best, Huw
hi Huw
many thanks, I spotted your pages today when I was looking for routes between Pampilhosa da Serra and Belmonte, then Belmonte over the hils to Viseu. I wanted the scenic and most challenging routes for two days riding in early April. We have a house near Alvares, on the Eastern edge of the Serra Lousa. I can commend the riding here as some of the best in Europe. It’s all hills, very quiet even during Feiras and there are unlimited routes. The trouble is that I get lost a lot. I have a Garmin but no maps otherwise I would be pleased to upload routes. Also happy to contribute when I go out next in April. All the best Andy
